One effective way in dealing with people if you are having a problem is to use "I" messages. This gives you ownership as to what you want rather than the person who is causing you trouble. For example, if a person is teasing you to a point where it is no longer any fun, don't say, "Will you stop doing that already", but rather say, "I don't like it when you tease me like that, and if you don't stop I'll tell someone." The "I" message works much better. Try it next time you are having a problem.
