The Victim
Don't Act the Part!

What is the makeup of a victim?  In many cases, victims are chosen randomly with no rhyme or reason.  In other cases it has to do with looking like a victim.  If a person walks around with head bowed, no eye contact and a worthless look on their face, they will be singled out as a pretty good candidate for a victim.  The bully wants to do as much bullying as possible without getting caught.  If a person walks and talks like a victim, it's likely he or she will be treated like a victim.  The boy in the picture would automatically grow two inches if he just stood up straight.  Standing tall displays self-assurance and confidence.  If you appear to have no confidence, you will be treated as though you have little or no worth.  Regardless of a person's appearance, everyone has worth.  Don't become a bully's target by looking like a target.  Stand tall, look confident and you will gain the respect you deserve.
