Big Sister Cindy
Cool Carl's big sister is in middle school

Ask any student if there are girl bullies, and the answer will be a resounding "YES"!  Big Sister Cindy can tell us a lot about girl bullies because she sees them all the time in middle school.  She says girl bullies usually don't act the same as boy bullies.  While boy bullies like to hurt, scare, intimidate and do other various physical things, girl bullies like to use psychological or emotional tactics.  While boy bullies will generally hurt your body, girl bullies like to hurt your feelings.  It generally involves other girls.  Usually a group of girls get together and decide they don't like some girl.  There could be a reason, which is mostly lame such as they don't like her clothes, how she wears her hair, or a host of other excuses.  They then exclude her in all their activities and treat her as if she has some dreaded disease.  The victim only knows that she is not being treated nicely, but doesn't know why.  The girl bullies like to think of themselves as better than others and therefore make others feel as though they have little or no worth.  Big Sister Cindy is the kind of person that wants to be helpful to everyone.  Even though she respects others, she doesn't like to join small groups of girls who wear the same kind of clothes and act as though they are better than everyone else.  She watches for kids who have few friends and is kind to them.  She likes to to be friendly and encourage them to be the best they can be.  She would be happy if everyone acted that way.  She says, "Be yourself", and "Never leave anyone out."
