Ten Ways to Handle a Bully
Great Advice!

 

1. Use "I" messages - be firm.  Practice in front of a mirror  if necessary.

 

2.  Just walk away.

 

3.  Keep your emotions under control and act in a positive way.

 

4.  Stand tall, look confident.

 

5.  Say positive things to yourself about yourself.

 

6.  Surround yourself with friends.  You may need their help.

 

7.  Keep a journal.  It will help with #8 and you may need to share it with an adult.

 

8.  Implement a plan.

 

9.  Retaliation makes it worse.

 

10. Tell an adult if things aren't improving.
